Farewell to our longest-tenured board member

CFC Director presents farewell gift to Ms. Darlene Bruce

(July 21, 2010) -- During a surprise presentation on July 21, 2010 at the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System, CFC Director Lew Lewis presented Ms. Darlene Bruce with an engraved mantle clock citing her long and faithful service of 12 years on the CFC’s board of directors called the Local Federal Coordinating Committee (LFCC).

Lew told the audience that he became CFC Director in 1997 and Ms. Bruce’s  tenure as a member of the LFCC began in 1998.  Over that time, “we’ve seen our campaign grow from a modest $450K to over $1.1 Million in 2009.”  Thanks for being a part of that success through your service on the LFCC”, said Lew.
