UNIVERSAL GIVING

Universal Giving (UG) permits donors to pledge to any participating CFC charity no matter where the donor or the charity is geographically located.

Previously, only Local charities specific to our campaign area were available to our donors. Universal Giving makes available more than 39,000 Local charities from areas outside of our campaign. These additional Local charities are members of all the CFC campaigns across the country.

How it works

Universal Giving charities are only listed in available online giving tools. They will not appear in the paper charity list.

In your search results, charities local to our campaign are marked with a Green Heart icon. These charities belong to the Heart of Alabama CFC.

Charities marked with an Orange UG Symbol are local to CFCs outside of our campaign area.

After searching, enter the charity's 5-digit charity code either on your paper pledge form or in the online donation tool, complete the form and submit! It's that easy!

New advanced search options will allow you to view ALL the UG charities (this is the default) or hide the UG charities in searches and lists. In addition, the ability to sort the list by distance from a zip code has been added. Charities that did not submit zip codes will not appear in the zip code distance search results.
